The Rantings of Quadius

The intention of this blog is to give an accounting of what transpires in the life of an average high-level (C2-3) quadriplegic. Since this is a journal, many of the posts are not related to paralysis per se, but are simply meant to show my particular way of thinking. Some of my views have been tempered by the quadriplegia from which I suffer, while others have remained unchanged. I will try to highlight the differences.

Name: Quadius
Location: Tampa, Florida

Although inhibited by physical challenges, I am most assuredly not constrained in matters of the heart and mind. I am first of all honest with good morals and values. I am not extremely shy and with the right person my sense of humor flourishes. I have an eclectic bevy of interest, but foremost among them is my passion for meeting people of all walks of life and engaging in intelligent conversations.

Things are still progressing

After a long absence I thought I would take the opportunity to quickly write and let everyone know I am beginning to get many things accomplished. Although my wheelchair is still pulling occasionally it now appears the shorting out issue is a thing of the past. My house is still under contract and everything is progressing well. Right now I am simply checking with title companies, movers, and financiers, as well as packing things up gradually. I was able to get the power supply for my PC microphone repaired, therefore, I will be able to do a little more on the computer. The power supply for my ECU is still kaput and since this was what was causing my chair to short out, I will continue to use a battery until I can find a replacement. Healthwise I am doing really well and hope that I will continue to do so.

Now I have to work with my computer more often make sure that my dictation continues to improve.

Still busy

Although I have every intention of writing more blogs, I have not been able to accomplish this task. There has been a multitude of things going on, among them: selling my house, getting my house prepared, working on purchasing my new house, trying to discover what is wrong with my microphone, dealing with difficulties with my wheelchair, and simply normal problems. All in all, it has been a tremendously busy time. I have, however, to see two movies over the last two weeks. I tried to make a deal with myself that I will go to a movie a week so that I feel better.
